Our Services

  • Child psychology services provide essential support for children and adolescents facing various mental health challenges. These services typically focus on understanding and addressing a range of presentations, including:

      • Anxiety disorders (e.g., generalised anxiety, social anxiety)

      • Mood disorders including depression and low self-esteem

      • Neurodivergence presentations including ADHD and Autism

      • Trauma and grief responses

      • Social skills deficits and peer relationship issues

      An evidence-based approach ensures that the interventions and techniques employed are grounded in research, providing assurance of their efficacy.

      Additionally, the eclectic approach allows for the tailoring of therapy to meet each individual’s unique needs, integrating strategies from multiple therapeutic models to create a holistic

  • At this current stage, I am not accepting referrals for new assessments with the exception of VOCAT assessment reports

  • Therapeutic group interventions for children, particularly those who are neuro-divergent, can significantly enhance social skills and foster meaningful connections. Our social connection groups cater to various age ranges, including:

    Prep to Grade 2;

    Grades 3 and 4;

    Grades 5 to 7;

    Grades 7 and 8.

    Each group is thoughtfully formed based on discussions with parents about individual goals, ensuring a balanced and age-appropriate dynamic. Further, themes of the group (e.g., mine craft, lego) will be developed based on common interests in the group.

    These facilitated sessions promote interaction, build confidence, and provide opportunity for social connection and developing their own skills tailored to the unique needs of each child, creating a supportive, neuro-divergent affirming environment where friendships can flourish.

  • Psychological parenting interventions equip parents with skills to support their child's emotional and behavioural growth. Techniques include positive reinforcement, effective communication, enhancing the parent-child relationship and promoting healthy attachment. By understanding psychological principles, parents can better respond to their children's needs, manage behaviors, and support their wellbeing. These evidence-based approaches enhance parenting practices and foster children's resilience and social competence, creating a nurturing environment for development.

Fees

I accept private clients, those with care plans under the Better Access to Mental Health Medicare initiative, and clients with self-managed or plan-managed NDIS plans. Unfortunately, I am unable to accept clients with plans managed through the NDIA.

Session fees are aligned with NDIS rates, with a 60-minute client session costing $222.99. This fee includes 45 minutes of face-to-face time and 15 minutes of administration time. Practitioner administration time encompasses:

  • Documenting session details and progress toward goals.

  • Planning for the next appointment.

As a registered psychologist, I am required to maintain accurate records of appointments, including the therapy approaches or interventions utilised, the outcomes of therapy, and the topics discussed during the session. I also document the NDIS goals addressed during the session and any progress made toward achieving them.

Travel Time

Travel time is charged at the relevant hourly rate for the psychologist in accordance with the NDIS Price Guide. Travel is billed based on the time spent traveling to and from a participant, where applicable. When traveling to multiple participants, practitioners will aim to visit the same area and split travel costs evenly among all participants.

Short Notice Cancellations

In the event of a ‘Short Notice Cancellation’ or no-show, I will charge 90% of the agreed fee associated with the service, including travel time, in accordance with NDIS recommendations. This is subject to the NDIS Pricing Arrangements and Price Limits, as well as the terms of the service agreement with the participant.

A cancellation is considered a ‘Short Notice Cancellation’ if the participant:

  • Does not show up for a scheduled support within a reasonable time, or is not present at the agreed place within a reasonable time when the practitioner is traveling to deliver the support; or

  • Provides less than two (2) clear business days’ notice for a scheduled service.
